Originally released in 2007, this was one of the first AVFN releases and certainly the first that was any good. I think that this is where I established the basic AVFN sound, which I would continue to explore for the next six or seven years.

Note: The title of this track/album is a reference to the book, Revolt Against the Modern World, by Julius Evola. At the time of production, I was reading a lot about Radical Traditionalism and was dipping my toes into what was then known as the New Right. I'd like to make clear that I no longer hold right-wing sympathies and now consider myself to be on the left. I thought about changing the name, but I reckon that would just cause confusion or seem like I was trying to hide my past, which I think would be cowardly and dishonest. Having said all of this, I still sympathise with the Traditionalist view that much of the malaise of the modern world is due to the desacralisation of our world view and the loss of spiritual practices. Although, I now realise, that this view is by no means the intellectual property of the Traditionalists, and is quite common to all spiritual traditions.
